Georgina CatlinBack to career stories
My initial contact with Awdry Bailey & Douglas stretches back to 2013 when I was studying full time at university.
I looked to obtain work experience in a legal environment and was invited to attend a two day work experience opportunity across the main departments of the firm.
From then on, I kept in touch with the firm and following my graduation from University in 2014 with a first class honours degree in criminology and law, I began a work experience placement within their family law department for one month.
At this point, I decided that a career in Law was 100% for me and I began working as a full time Secretary in the Family Department, whilst undertaking a part time Graduate Diploma in Law.
Awdry Bailey & Douglas continued to support me with my part time studying and two years later, I am now a trainee solicitor within the family department, whilst undertaking the Legal Practice Course part time. I am due to qualify as a family law solicitor in November 2018.
