About Heather

Having practised in this area of law for over 30 years I have gained a wide experience in all aspects of private client matters including

  • Wills
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Attorney and General Powers of Attorney
  • Probate
  • Agricultural matters
  • Court of Protection Matters

I am used to dealing with a wide cross section of people and matters including high net worth individuals. I can offer specialist advice tailored to your personal requirements, including my speciality of vintage vehicle ownership. Although I have lived and worked in Wiltshire for most of my working life, I have clients from all over the country.

What clients say about Heather:

"Heather gives straight forward and practical advice and explains things in a way that we can understand."

Examples of work:

  • Making an application to the Court of Protection for a Statutory Will to enable a client's estate to be fairly distributed amongst their loved ones whilst minimising inheritance tax.
  • Effectively administering the estate of a person who died "intestate" (without a Will) who had many relations entitled to share various proportions of the estate.
  • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney for Property and Affairs and Health and Welfare giving a client peace of mind when they became unable to manage their affairs.
  • Attending the Court of Protection for a contested registration of an Enduring Power of Attorney for a very significant estate.

3 Things people don't know about you

I play Tenor Horn in the local brass band and I am a bell ringer.

I am a keen preservationist and I help my family to restore and show our three vintage fire engines and my husband's 1929 Steam Roller called "Jimmy".

Given my hobbies it will not surprise you to know that I am very good at brass cleaning!
